Hi! Thanks for taking the time to visit the Julia Sings website.
If you are after a class vocal act then you’ve come to the right place, that’s not me talking that’s my clients and fans.
I have heaps of experience as a singer working in pubs, clubs, wine bars, restaurants, at private parties and functions, as a wedding singer (during the service and at the party afterwards) and for corporate and fundraising events. Parties, special occasions Christmas and New Year’s Eve gigs are my specialty! The last few years have also seen me sing at Street Parties with the Vintage and Retro sets, and at Sheltered Housing Parties and at memorial services for all round entertainment. Localised Music Festivals and Town Centres have also booked my wide ranging repertoire to entertain the general public for promotions....and I started doing Voiceovers...its all in a days work!
I work in Essex, London and any part of the Eastern Region by arrangement, and can also provide a package where we supply a DJ/Live Music combination. Just contact me with your requirements and budget and we can work the rest out!
I love so many styles of music that I work across a diverse range of genres, from pop, soul, blues, jazz, funk, rock and reggae in my solo act and pop duo, and in Jazz/Funk/Soul line-ups. This works well for clubs who don’t just want a single style of music all night (great to advertise a theme night but gets a bit repetitive to listen to!) This wide range is also ideal for parties where ages and tastes of party goers varies!
I’m always adding new songs to my repertoire so regular venue bookings will never see the same gig twice! In fact there are enough songs to do dedicated 70’s, 80’s or 90’s shorter sets for school reunions. I have popular ‘Jazz-Lite and ‘Smooth Groove’ sets as background music in restaurants or at functions, and perform in live 5 piece Jazz bands at clubs and other venues.
If you have a special song request for weddings, birthdays or anniversaries etc…then contact me as if I don’t already have it in my set I can usually source it for you!

““There hasn’t been a time when I didn’t sing…”
Starting at school in concerts and end of term shows, Julia graduated to The Melvin Beddow Big Band at aged 17, then various pop bands, duos and trios including Blue Vision, Serious Heroes, Impulse, and was a founding member of five piece outfit Shot’t’Funk which is still going strong to this day (and which I occasionally still dep for).
Currently mainly working as Jukebox Jules - solo vocal act, there are over 500 songs in the repertoire from the 40's to the noughties and beyond, and covering a huge range of pop/Jazz/ Retro/Vintage/ rock/funk/reggae/soul/ covers. This repertoire is very varied and ensures that the songs appeal to a very wide cross section of the audience. Specific genre sets can be created for Jazz, 80's nights, Club Classics, Soul, Love songs etc... even films themes and show tunes can be arranged!
Jazz – Julia has worked with Tony Sandeman (Guitar), the late great Pete Jacobsen (Keyboards) and Gary Plumley (Sax) and Al Forman (bass) of C Level, Tim Huskisson, Mike King and Dan Banks (keyboards), Graham Hunter (Trumpet) Ian Thompson (Sax) Marc Cecil and Neil Robinson (drums) Graham Cuttill (Percussion) Andy Staples and Trevor Newnham (Bass).
As a singer songwriter Julia has collaborated with Jazz Guitarist Dave Mascall and is his lead vocalist for the live Acid Lounge band gigs. Julia has songs on CD’s “Acid Lounge Volume 2 + 4”. Contact Dave Here for the CD.
