The set up
For Solo and Duo pop gigs we use a neat, self-contained entertainment package of small yet powerful PA system, with vocal effects, and for parties and dancing have a small but powerful and very effective freestanding quad lighting rig. We play music through our system before and after the gig, and during any comfort breaks we need to take so continuity is assured and a great atmosphere is created before the performance even starts!!
Using high quality, professional backing tracks a typical Up-tempo Solo Set suitable for pubs clubs etc…would include a selection from the songs listed below, all dependant on audience taste, reaction and what the client wants!
Songs for the TOAST duo would include all of the Solo set PLUS Male vocals/guitar, Rock Songs from The Rolling Stones, T-Rex, Roxy Music and the Kaiser Chiefs, Sing-a-longs from Neil Diamond and The Monkees Reggae from The Specials, Sugar Minott and UB40, FUN STUFF from Madness, the Mavericks, and even the Beastie Boys!
